<title>INTEGRATIVE APPROACH TO THE ORGANIZATION OF SMART HEALTHY AGE- FRIENDLY ENVIRONMENTS BY THE DOCTOR OF GENERAL PRACTICE</title>

<description>INTEGRATIVE APPROACH TO THE ORGANIZATION OF SMART HEALTHY AGE- FRIENDLY ENVIRONMENTS BY THE DOCTOR OF GENERAL PRACTICE
Sharshakova, Tamara; Gapanovich-Kaidalov, Nikolai; Voropaev, Evgeny; Shcharbakova, Katsiaryna; Dmitrieva, Natalia
Attention to the problem of integration in healthcare has arisen in Belarus as well as in many&#13;
countries in the last 10-15 years. Life expectancy has increased by about 10 years over the&#13;
past 50 years for both men and women. These changes create challenges and opportunities&#13;
for us. Aging is causing widespread debate, leading to the development of new approaches&#13;
in healthcare. The growing level of fragmentation of medical care for elderly necessitates a&#13;
solution to this problem due to the emerging trend towards narrow specialization of help. An&#13;
integrative approach involves the analysis of a holistic health care system, which includes&#13;
several levels. Thus, various options of management models to control one`s health are the&#13;
basis for creating an integrated smart healthy environment for the elderly. It is required to&#13;
develop an algorithm for ensuring coordination and continuity of medical care for the elderly,&#13;
taking into account their needs and local conditions (demography, morbidity and mortality&#13;
structure, equipment of medical institutions with equipment and personnel, etc.), the&#13;
creation of a unified educational, informational, organizational and technical system of smart&#13;
healthy age-friendly environment that will provide older patients with access to relevant&#13;
knowledge and skills to control their health status, as well as allow to establish information&#13;
exchange of data between the patient and a team of specialists from various healthcare&#13;
organizations. At the same time, the leading role in the integration processes is played by&#13;
the organizations of primary health care for the elderly, which are the organizational and&#13;
coordinating links in interaction with organizations that provide specialized medical and&#13;
social care. If we want to ensure a fair treatment between generations and a good standard&#13;
of living for all citizens, then there is a need for urgent action to implement a Smart Healthy&#13;
Age-friendly Environments.

<title>SEISMIC STUDY OF HISTORICAL CASTLES AND THE EFFECT OF SOIL STRUCTURE INTERACTION : CASE STUDY OF THE CASTLE OF BASHTOV</title>

<description>SEISMIC STUDY OF HISTORICAL CASTLES AND THE EFFECT OF SOIL STRUCTURE INTERACTION : CASE STUDY OF THE CASTLE OF BASHTOV
Çaushi, Ergys; Çeçen, Emre
Historical buildings and monuments of built heritage in Albania suffered great damages&#13;
during the earthquake of 26 November 2019. Most of them have a structural system of&#13;
traditional load bearing stone masonry. Field observations and the overview of past&#13;
interventions of several objects, suggested that the reported damages might have underlying&#13;
causes, which triggered the main damages during the earthquake. This article focused on&#13;
the study of damages of stiff masonry walls in castles and their relationship with the&#13;
earthquake. We took as a case study the Castle of Bashtova, which is one of the few Albanian&#13;
Castles located in flat terrain and on poor soil conditions. The purpose of this paper is the&#13;
study of the link between the recorded damages through the history of the structure, the&#13;
reported damages and the numerical analysis performed for the purpose of structural&#13;
consolidation interventions. The analysis performed was the linear dynamic analysis with the&#13;
response spectrum procedure for the calculation of stresses, displacements and their&#13;
distributions, along with checks of the overall stability of the most critical sections with the&#13;
Virtual Work Principle. The physical and mechanical properties of the materials were&#13;
determined in laboratory and in-situ. The study showed that most of the damages reported&#13;
after the earthquake were due to local effects of soil deposits or soil-structure interaction,&#13;
local degradation of masonry and not sufficiently connected walls of different phases of&#13;
construction.

<title>EVALUATING THE OCCUPANTS SATISFACTION REGARDING THE THERMAL PERFORMANCE OF COMMON PRACTICES IN APARTMENT BUILDINGS’ ENVELOPES IN HEBRON, PALESTINE</title>
<link>http://dspace.epoka.edu.al/handle/1/2251</link>
<description>EVALUATING THE OCCUPANTS SATISFACTION REGARDING THE THERMAL PERFORMANCE OF COMMON PRACTICES IN APARTMENT BUILDINGS’ ENVELOPES IN HEBRON, PALESTINE
Dweik, Ghassan
Building envelope highly influences the levels of energy required to achieve thermal comfort&#13;
and occupants’ satisfaction. A proper envelope design through the selection of the proper&#13;
material leads to better indoor air quality, life cycle performance, and energy efficiency. The&#13;
thermal performance of a building is a result of the interaction between its construction&#13;
features along with the climatic conditions of the site. The envelopes layering, materials&#13;
selection, air cavity, and construction methods determine its capability of transmitting,&#13;
storing, or emitting heat which is often neglected in the design process in Palestine.&#13;
In Hebron, Palestine; due to the continuing increase of population rates and the limited ability&#13;
of urban expansion due to geographical limitations referring to political reasons; apartment&#13;
buildings are becoming more prominent in the latest building tendency. Currently, residential&#13;
buildings are suffering from the lack of thermal comfort measures and other poor indoor&#13;
environment quality indicators.&#13;
This paper introduces an evaluation study for occupants’ satisfaction regarding the&#13;
apartment buildings in Hebron, Palestine through the assessment of the occupants’&#13;
satisfaction regarding the indoor environment measures in the Mediterranean climate.&#13;
Multistorey buildings consisting of multiple apartments were included in an intensive field&#13;
survey to analyse the thermal properties and capabilities of these buildings’ envelopes in the&#13;
common practices in Hebron city.

<title>URBAN POLICIES AND KNOWLEDGE-BASED SYSTEMS: HIGHLIGHTING THEIR RELATIONSHIP TO EACH OTHER OVER THE PERIOD 2010 – 2021</title>
<link>http://dspace.epoka.edu.al/handle/1/2250</link>
<description>URBAN POLICIES AND KNOWLEDGE-BASED SYSTEMS: HIGHLIGHTING THEIR RELATIONSHIP TO EACH OTHER OVER THE PERIOD 2010 – 2021
Manika, Stella; Gospodini, Aspa
Cities, as a source of and a solution to modern challenges (such as financial crisis or health related crisis), are complex systems that give urban policies broad spatial significance.&#13;
Creating and implementing urban policies engages with many social, economic,&#13;
environmental, and spatial concerns, which often conflict. Modern technologies offer new&#13;
possibilities for (i) understanding the special characteristics of the urban space, and for (ii)&#13;
forming alternative scenarios in forecasts or evaluations. This article uses bibliostatistics&#13;
analysis and review of about 1,000 relevant articles of the period 2010 - 2021 to identify&#13;
dominant planning methods and relevant technological approaches or models, with&#13;
emphasis on knowledge-based systems, and to add new aspects to successful decision&#13;
making in urban planning.
