Abstract:
This paper explores the transformative role of microcontrollers and sensors in
modern electronic systems, with a focus on environmental air quality measurement.
By leveraging the programmability and integration capabilities of components like
the Arduino Pro Mini, coupled with various air quality sensors (e.g., PM2.5, CO2,
humidity, temperature), we illustrate how these technologies enhance efficiency,
accuracy, and flexibility in data collection and analysis. Through a systematic
examination of over 21 case studies and research papers, we demonstrate the
practical applications and benefits of these systems in diverse fields such as
automation, healthcare, and environmental monitoring. Our goal is to provide a
comprehensive understanding of the interplay between microcontrollers and sensors,
highlighting recent advancements in IoT protocols that enable remote monitoring and
control. Ultimately, we aim to develop a low-cost, high-precision, and scalable air
quality monitoring system that can effectively measure and record pollutant
concentrations, offering valuable insights for improved air quality management.
