Abstract:
Smartphones have definitely become an essential part of our everyday life,
since last decade.Their exponential growth is leaded by the flawless functionality,
small sizes and the ability to handle a range of applications.
The extensive range of functionalities and huge user base have made the
mobile devices a primary source of information and this leads to cyber-attacks.
In Android, the most popular open source mobile platform, it is not provided a
security framework so that devices could be defended against attacks, although it has
a set of permissions to protect the resources.
This paper presents methods to gain access or get information from an
android device by using scripts written in python and java for networking and also
makes a comparison of methods and tools used to achieve the results.
