dc.description.abstract This research provides information about the opinion of parents on the disciplinemeasures and applications at primary schools.Eighty-eight parents from four different state primary schools in Cluj city wereinterviewed for this research. The data were obtained from the interview form developed by theresearcher. The data obtained from the form are analyzed by the "content analyze" technique.The punishment and rewarding techniques applied at schools to provide disciplineare perceived as inadequate. The parents agreed that, students should contribute to theprocess of determining the school rules, the social relationship of the students shouldbe developed, a good atmosphere of communication should be provided, school shouldbe more patient and gentle in order to correct the undesirable behaviors, the parentsshould be informed about the rules in order to apply them more easily, and school parentscorporation should be improved.
